Raising Children Network (RCN), Australia's most trusted evidence-based parenting website, turned 20 this year! To celebrate, StoryBox Hub, Raising Children Network and the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) have joined together as leaders in providing resources for Australian families.

Together, we've created the Wellbeing Playlist, a collection of 12 StoryBox Hub titles available for everyone to enjoy, each one matched to an area that supports a child's wellbeing. Whether you're reading with your own child at home, or sharing stories in the classroom, these stories offer an easy, everyday way to start meaningful conversations.

The collection is guided by The Nest, a framework for understanding child and youth wellbeing, developed by ARACY and grounded in research. It looks at child wellbeing as six connected parts: being healthy, participating, identity and culture, material basics, learning, valued, loved and safe.

None of these sit alone, each one supports and strengthens the others, and a good story can gently touch on all of them at once. Each title in the Wellbeing Playlist comes with downloadable resources, containing curated content for parents from Raising Children Network, and ideas for parents and educators on ways to extend the story into conversation and play.
